COVID-19

In order for The Psychotherapy Center to provide continuous care while providing the utmost safety in this uncertain time, we encourage all patients to register in our on-line, secure Patient Portal.  To have access to the Patient Portal, for those not currently registered, please e-mail our Office Manager, Yolanda Winfield at ywinfield@thepsychotherapycenter.com.  By placing your e-mail in our SimplePractice Patient Portal you will be able to access telehealth and messaging functions, receive session reminders, review your account and make on-line payments.  This Portal lives up to its name—Simple.

If you do not wish to register, you may also contact Ms, Winfield to make payments or ask any questions that you may have

 

All insurers reimburse for Telehealth sessions on a secure server.  Video sessions by phone are reimbursed by all insurers except TRICARE.

 

For clients unable to meet by confidential videoconferencing and able to provide appropriate advance notice for cancelation due to illness, at this time we will waive late cancellation fees.  However, please be aware that it is a courtesy to your therapist to call in as far in advance as possible if you are ill, so that s/he can attend to other clients who may be waiting to be seen.

 

Our late cancel/missed appointment fee will NOT be waived for clients who do not show and do not provide appropriate notice by contacting their therapist.

 

We know that the Hampton Roads community will act mindfully and compassionately at this time to stem the spread of COVID-19 in as timely a way as we can.  We encourage all our clients to stay informed, visit the CDC website for information, practice good health habits, and stay safe.
